Pettineo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Messina in the Italian region Sicily, located about 80 km east of Palermo and about 110 km west of Messina. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,502 and an area of 30.5 km².[1]
Pettineo borders the following municipalities: Castel di Lucio, Mistretta, Motta d'Affermo, Reitano, San Mauro Castelverde, Tusa.
