Petrovec, Republic of Macedonia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Petrovec (Macedonian Cyrillic: Петровец) is a small village in the Republic of Macedonia situated about 30km west of the national capital Skopje. It is the seat of the Petrovec municipality.
Though rather small, the village name is known throughout the country as the title of Skopje's airport - the bigger of two international airports in Macedonia - as the airport is situated very close to the village. Petrovec is mostly populated by ethnic Macedonians.
