Petronio Franceschini

Petronio Franceschini (c.1650 - c.1680) was a Baroque music composer from Bologna.

He studied under Perti and became also the main cellist in Basilica di San Petronio.
He composed mainly church music and he is credited of a innovative use of trumpet and voices. Also notable are his 6 opera.
He died in Venice without finishing his last one Dionisio which was finished by Partenio.
