Petra Majdič (born 22 December 1979 in Dol pri Ljubljani) is a Slovenian cross-country skier. Her best results have come in classic style races. She has seven World Cup race victories, six of which came in sprint races. She is the first Slovenian cross-country skier to win a medal in a World Cup race, the first to win a World Cup race and also the first to get a medal at the World Championships. At the 2007 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Sapporo, Majdič earned a silver in the individual sprint.
