The Peterborough Public Library serves the community of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Located near the Kawartha Lakes, Peterborough has a population of approximately 75,000. At 345 Aylmer Street North, the Main Library offers its patrons a broad spectrum of library materials such as DVDs, CD audio books, music CDs, CD-ROMs, and more. Researchers and recreational readers alike can find the resources they need there. Any additional material can be obtained from other libraries and for those who are unable to come to the library, shut-in services are offered. Programs such as reading clubs are also available for the public to join. Access to the Internet is possible via the library's workstations. Visit the Children's Department for storytime programs, play a game on one of the computers, or just grab a good book to read.

Located at 729 Park Street South, the smaller DelaFosse Branch offers primarily popular reading materials (including the bestsellers) and a small collection of audiovisual material. The collection of the Kawartha branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society is also located at DelaFosse, offering personal research assistance on Thursday afternoons.
