Peter Van Der Heyden (born July 16, 1976 in Aalst, Belgium) is a Belgian football left fullback who recently signed for German 2nd Bundesliga outfit 1. FSV Mainz 05. His former clubs include Eendracht Aalst, Club Brugge and VfL Wolfsburg.
Van Der Heyden played 17 times with Belgium as of June 4, 2005 and was in the team for the 2002 World Cup. He scored Belgium's second goal in their opening match, a 2-2 draw with Japan in Saitama.
