Peter Trusler (fl. 20th cent.) is a well-known Australian wildlife artist who illustrated a great many Australian birds in the 1970s, and more recently worked on Australian prehistoric fauna. Notably he depicted several Australian dinosaurs (Timimus, Minmi, an Allosaur, Muttaburrasaurus, Leaellynasaura and Ornithocheirus ) on a very popular 1993 Australia Post stamp release.

Collaborations he has worked on include Wildlife of Gondwana (Indiana University Press), The Fossil Book (Doubleday), The Dinosaurs of Darkness (Allen & Unwin) and the cover of Time Magazine in 1993.

His work has won the Eureka Award for his art in Wildlife of Gondwana in 1993.
