Peter Thomas (mining executive)

Peter James Thomas (born 10 March 1971) is a Australian mining executive, who is currently the Head of Finance of Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) Ltd, and Chief Financial Officer of Pilbara Infrastructure Pty Ltd. [1]

Thomas was born in Sydney, a twin son of Dr Rodney Thomas and his wife Ann. He was educated at Newington College where he was Senior Prefect in his final year (1983-1988) [2] and the third generation of his family (father 1960 and grandfather 1930) to be awarded the Schofield Prize as Dux. [3]
