Peter Simon (presenter)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Peter Clarence Edward Simon (born in Salford 1948 and of Turkish decent) is an English shopping television presenter and former children's television personality.
[edit] Career
Peter's career began at the age of 12, when he became a presenter for Yorkshire Television's 'Junior Showtime'.
He is perhaps most famous for presenting the 'Double Dare' and 'Run The Risk' segments of the BBC1 Saturday-morning marathon Going Live!, which was one of the corporation's more successful children's television shows[citation needed]. Run The Risk, presented by Simon and Shane Richie, became a programme in its own right. He also worked on kids TV show "The Friday Zone". In 1997 he got to interview people such as the Spice Girls and Boyzone.
He is currently a permanent auctioneer on bid tv, a shopping channel owned by Sit-up Ltd. Whilst presenting bid TV he never mentions his former work, but he has been known to do so if the subject is brought up.
In 2003 Peter appeared as a celebrity guest in Channel 4's The Salon.
In 2006 he appeared as a guest on ITV Play's The Mint.
