Peter Schmuck

Peter Gilray Schmuck (born 8 September 1955 in California) is an American sportswriter.
Schmuck has been a sports columnist for the Baltimore Sun since 1990, and has been named Maryland Sportswriter of the Year four times by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. He primarily writes about baseball and is host of a sports talk show on WBAL AM 1090. Schmuck was elected president of the Baseball Writers Association of America in 2005. He once made headlines himself when, in 1980, his request for a vanity license plate bearing his last name was rejected by the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles for being "obscene and offensive to public decency."
