Peter Rees (racer)

Peter Rees is a Formula Renault Driver.

Peter Rees began his racing career in 1997 in the Junior TKM karting championship and his promising form in the early years led to him being awarded the Protrain driver of the Year in 2000, after securing wins at Kimbolton, Shenington, Whilton Mill and Rowrah.

Despite a relatively late start in karting, Peter graduated successfully to top level British Karting in Junior Intercontinental A and ranked among the top 12 juniors in Britain. He claimed fourth in the PF Winter Series in 2001.

In 2003 Peter made the step up to Formula A in the MSA British championships, continued to race ICA in the European championships.

Having represented Great Britain at the European and World Championships in Karting he made the jump from karts to cars in 2005. Peter’s first season in Formula Renault was with Scorpio Motorsport and having learned a great deal in his rookie year. Now with Team AKA Lemac Peter is hopeful of a successful 2006.
