Peter Power (politician)

Peter Power (born 26 January 1966) is an Irish Fianna Fáil politician. He is a Teachta Dála (TD) for the constituency of Limerick East. Power was first elected to Dáil Éireann in the 2002 general election. Previous to his election as a TD he worked as a solicitor in Limerick.
He was previously chair of the joint Oireachtas Child Protection committee and also a member of the Justice and Transportation committees. In May 2008, he was appointed as Minister of State (with special responsibility for Overseas Development).
