[edit] Career
Peter McGlynn made his breakthrough into Shelbourne's first team during the 2007 season while still part of Shelbourne's under-21 squad that season. McGlynn made his Shelbourne debut as a second-half substitute against Monaghan United on June 22, 2007 at Century Homes Park, a match that Monaghan comfortably won 4-0[1]. McGlynn returned to Shelbourne's under-21 panel and continued to impress as part of a new squad that reached the Dr. Tony O'Neill Under-21 League Quarter-Finals that season. McGlynn was recalled to Shels' first team later on in the 2007 season where he made regular appearances. McGlynn made a total of 6 appearances that season for Shelbourne, 2 starts and 4 substitute appearances. McGlynn was rewarded for his excellent 2007 season with a permanent call-up to Shelbourne's first team squad for their 2008 campaign.
