Peter Maxwell, 28th Baron de Ros

Peter Trevor Maxwell, 28th Baron de Ros (born December 2, 1958) is the Premier Baron of England, by virtue of his holding the oldest baronial title created in the Peerage of England.

He is the son of Commander John David Maxwell RN and of Lady de Ros, a suo jure peeress.

The 28th Baron was educated at Headfort School, in Kells, Ireland, as well as Down High School, in Downpatrick, Northern Ireland. In 1987, the Lord de Ros married Angela Sián Ross, and they have three children:

  • The Hon. Finbar James Maxwell (born November 14, 1988), who is his father's heir apparent
  • The Hon. Katherine Georgiana Maxwell (born 1990)
  • The Hon. Jessye Maeve Maxwell (born 1992)
