Peter Lorenz (December 22, 1922-December 6, 1987) was a German politician (CDU). In 1975 he was kidnapped by the terrorist group Movement 2 June.
In 1975 Lorenz was candidate for the elections for mayor of Berlin. He was kidnapped three days before the elections on February 27. The terrorist demanded a release of a number of imprisoned group members. After the released prisoners had been flown out to Aden, Yemen, Lorenz was released on March 4. He won the majority of votes while being absent.
