Peter Latz (1939 -- ) is a German landscape architect and a professor for landscape architecture at the Technical University of Munich, born in Darmstadt. Among his best known projects is the Duisburg-Nord Landschaftspark in Duisburg Nord, Germany. The site was formerly a very large steelworks. When it became derelict there was talk of demolition to make way for a park, but Latz+Partners, the firm commissioned to design the park, decided to keep the main structures and to incorporate them into a postmodern landscape design.
