Peter Koutoujian

Peter Koutoujian (b. Sept. 17, 1961) is a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He is a member of the Democratic Party. He recently proposed the first statewide legislation to limit restaurants' use of products containing trans fat.

Koutoujian was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1996 and is serving his sixth consecutive two-year term as representative for the 10th Middlesex District, which includes portions of Waltham, Newton and Watertown. Prior to his tenure in the Legislature, Koutoujian, an attorney by trade, served as an Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County.
