Peter Jones was an Australian Rugby League Player, and now behind the scenes in the sport. He is most famous for playing for the North Queensland Cowboys from 1995-2002, where he is now Recruitment Manager. He is listed by the Cowboys as one of their players of the decade. Peter played his early football for Tully Tigers Junior Rugby League.

With the Cowboys, he gained a reputation as a strong lock for the club. In his debut year he was found to be a top quality running utility forward. He was signed up by the Cowboys to bolster the club into its playing future. Peter possessed a strong football mind to run up the ball while getting away offloads. He also had additional gameplay features possessing a good general kicking game and a high aerial bomb.
