A compact, dapper batsman Peter Geoffrey Ingham made 8 first class appearances for Yorkshire County Cricket Club, scoring 290 runs with a top score of 64 at an average of 20.71. In 13 one day games he averaged an excellent 45.85 with a top score of 87* and was unlucky not to add to his 321 runs at that level.

He was born on the 28th September 1956 in Sheffield, won the The Cricket Society Wetherall Award for the Leading All-Rounder in English Schools Cricket in 1974, played for Yorkshire in 1980 and 1981 and then for Northumberland in the minor counties.
