Peter Francisco is a former South African professional snooker player.
He was from a snooker background: Peter's Uncle was Silvino Francisco, a snooker player. Silvino's father owned two snooker tables and his uncle, Mannie, came runner-up in both the World Amateur Billiards and Snooker championships.
[edit] Controversy
He lost a first round match against Jimmy White in the 1995 World Snooker Championship.Betting had been suspended on the match against the South African shortly before it began. There were an unusual number of bets made that the scoreline would be 10-2 in favour of White, which was the eventual outcome. A World Snooker Association panel analysed the match and later banned Peter for five years.
