Peter James Forrest (born November 15, 1985, in Windsor, New South Wales) is a professional Australian cricketer who currently plays for the New South Wales Blues. With a rookie contract in the 2006-07 season, Forrest made his first-class debut for New South Wales against Queensland on March 1, 2007. In this match he scored an impressive 40 in the first innings and remained unbeaten on 5 in the second innings. After solid performances in early Pura Cup games, outstanding results in the Cricket Australia Cup and notable consistency for Hawkesbury in Grade Cricket, Forrest received his first full contract for New South Wales ahead of the 2007-08 season.[1]

Forrest made his List A debut against Western Australia on October 12, 2007, scoring 5 in a steep run chase.[2] His highest List A score of 39 came against Tasmania on November 4, 2007 at Bellerive Oval.[3]

On November 20, 2007, Forrest scored his first first-class century. He struck 177 runs in what was described as a "brilliant" innings.[4] He bought up the maiden century against Tasmania at the Sydney Cricket Ground, striking 21 fours and 2 sixes.[5]
