Peter Dawson (?-1963) was a politician and member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
He was elected as the member for Little Bow in 1935 and served until 1963. He represented the Alberta Social Credit Party and served the longest tenure as the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly for twenty-six years.
He died just prior to the 1963 election.
He was the first speaker to lie in state at the legislative assembly.
In his honor Peter Dawson lodge in Vulcan, Alberta was established.
