In 2002, Cambor starred in Up to the Roof in the role of "Alexander" and in The J2 Project as J2.[1] Five years later, after finishing his post-graduate degree at Harvard, in 2007, he also appeared in one episode of the TV series Numb3rs (in the character of "Logan Oliver").[1] In June/July 2005, Peter Cambor had appeared as Schubal/Bess/Policeman, acting in the Gideon Lester play "Amerika or the Disappearance" based on the book by Franz Kafka, as a production of the American Repertory Theatre at the Loeb Drama Center, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.[1]

Peter Cambor landed the lead as an expectant father on Notes from the Underbelly after the sitcom's creator had caught his performance in a Los Angeles production of The Cherry Orchard, opposite veteran actors Annette Bening and Alfred Molina.[2] For 3 years, Peter Cambor has played the role of the expectant father, starring opposite Jennifer Westfeldt, in Notes from the Underbelly (on the ABC Television network).[2]
