Bryan Owen Young (known as "Pete Young") (born March 19, 1968 in Meadville, Mississippi) is a former professional Major League Baseball player. He played the major league baseball with the position of relief pitcher. Young batted and threw both right-handed during his baseball career.
Young attended Mississippi State University where he participated in playing college baseball.

On June 2, 1986, Young was first drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 22nd round of the 1986 amateur draft, but Young did not sign to play Minor League Baseball with the Cincinnati Reds. Young was drafted again on June 5, 1989, by the Montreal Expos in the 6th round (148th overall pick) of the amateur draft of 1989. This time, Young signed to play Minor League Baseball in the Montreal Expos organization.[1]
Young made his major league debut on June 5, 1992, with the Montreal Expos at age 24. On that day, Young pitched 1.2 innings against the Cincinnati Reds, striking out one batter. The Montreal Expos lost the game 10-4.[2] On February 18, 1994, while Young was currently playing for the Montreal Expos, he was purchased along with Matt Stairs to play in the Boston Red Sox organization. Young played his final game on July 18, 1993 while still playing in minor league system of the Boston Red Sox.
After Young's retirement, he earned a career ERA of 3.63. He also pitched 25.7 innings, striking out 14 batters, and playing a total of 17 games. He allowed 22 hits, 1 home run, and pitched 9 balls. He only got one win in his baseball career. Young only batted once in his 2 season career.
