Pete Winkelman
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pete Winkelman is currently the chairman of football club Milton Keynes Dons F.C..
He is also managing director of the property development consortium Inter MK that was responsible for developing the Denbigh North district of Milton Keynes.[1] The development includes IKEA, ASDA and Stadium:MK (the new home stadium of Milton Keynes Dons F.C. and Milton Keynes Lions).
Winkelman attracted controversy when he relocated Wimbeldon F.C. from South London to Milton Keynes, essentially creating a new club. Having changed the club strip, logo, name and returning all the memorabilia to Merton Borough Council, many football fans still argue he should also have returned the clubs league status.
His earlier career was in pop music production, as a CBS executive.[2] He is also owner of Linford Manor Studios in Great Linford (Milton Keynes).[3]
