Pete Chambers

Pete Chambers is an American song-writer and performer. His songs are based on American based themes and tell stories in the style of Harry Chapin, Bruce Springsteen or Woody Guthrie, his lyrics have been described as "sort of like the Norman Rockwell of American song".
Pete was born in Trenton, New Jersey, where his father owned a bar and restaurant at the intersection of State and Montgomery streets. His first album, State and Montgomery, was named for this. His songs are based on characters that frequented the family owned restauratnt that included police officers, gamblers, athletes and other colorful characters as well as experiences he had as a child growing up in that environment.
Chambers has an earthy voice and delivers his songs in a folk style reminiscent of Bob Dylan.
