Pete Briquette
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pete Briquette is the stage name of Patrick Andrew Cusack (born 2 July 1954, Ballyjamesduff, County Cavan, Ireland).
He was the bass guitarist and occasional keyboardist for the band, The Boomtown Rats. He is the first cousin of John Moylett a.k.a. Johnny Fingers, the keyboardist in the band, as their mothers, Cecilia "Sheila" (Bowles) Cusack and Margaret "Peggy" (Bowles) Moylett, are sisters.
He now works as a record producer, and is the only Rats member that still frequently collaborates with ex-lead vocalist, Bob Geldof.
He lives in Chiswick, London, England, UK.
[edit] Trivia
His pseudonym refers to the fact that he hails from the Irish countryside; peat briquettes are a type of refined turf burned in fires instead of coal there.
