Petar Naumoski

Petar Naumoski (Macedonian: Петар Наумоски, Petar Naumovski) (born on 27 August 1968 in Prilep, SFR Yugoslavia) is a former Yugoslav and Macedonian basketball player who had successful years especially in Turkey and Italy. In 2002, he was elected to Assembly of Republic of Macedonia as a member of VMRO-DPMNE. He once served as Sport Minister of the Republic of Macedonia. He is a point guard at 1.94 m height and has Turkish passport with Namık Polat name. He also has Italian citizenship.[1]

In June 2007, some Turkish newspapers claimed that Efes Pilsen is considering him as the new head coach of the club replacing Oktay Mahmuti.[2] However, Turkish club opted for David Blatt.
