Wikipedia talk:Personal information

[edit] Clarification Please

I am a tad confused about the wording of this proposal. It is included that Personal information can include, but is not limited to names, birthdays, telephone numbers, and social security numbers. I agree whole heartedly with the telephones, social security number and I would add personal/home addresses to the list. However, names & birthdays? I'm mostly thinking in terms of articles about celebrities and listing there original name and birth date. A celebrity could argue that such information is hurtful to their career "image"--like knowing their true age. I'm certainly not advocating a Wiki-Paparazzi, but I do think such information (provided it's verifiable as you noted) do offer value to an article that doesn't cross a personal information/potential damage line.Agne27 05:15, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
