[edit] Update on FL page
Hi there, got your note, and I wanted to run something past you. I am in the process of updating some info on the #REDIRECT Fortune Lounge Group page, which is not relevant anymore, as the contract iwth parties have been terminated or sites do not exist anymore. How can I make sure that I do not offend the administartors and get flagged for these kinds of changes, as they are necessary and are at the moment implying incorrect information about the company? Thanks E - 14:31, 8 January 2007 (UTC) (Date added by Peruvianllama)
[edit] Vandal
I know this sounds really weak, but I don't remember making that contribution, I pretty much always log-on to my actual account when I make a contribution. But the point is that I'm the only one using this computer, so do you have any idea how something like that could happen? 67.0.80.28 00:29, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Automagically add to images and media for deletion
Preuvianllama, I noticed that you added three images for deletion. Thanks for helping out! If you want to add more, you may consider adding importScript('User:Howcheng/quickimgdelete.js');
. It automates the process and is very useful for image tagging! Best, Iamunknown 04:04, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sorghum
If you had allowed me more than two minutes, or perhaps followed the links on the article, before reverting my changes you would ave seen what I was doing.
I have deleted huge section of the Sorghum article because it is grossly inaccurate. The article concentrates entirely and exclusively on commercial, cultivated sorghum thus ignoring the vast majority of species in the genus which are not cultivated. While the article is well written and doubtless accurate as it pertains to commercial sorghum it is not accurate as an article on the Sorghum the genus. For example most sorghum does not have a growth habit similar to maize, most species are less than 30cm tall. Sorghum species are native to tropical and temperate areas worldwide, not just Africa, Mexico and Asia. There are literally dozens of wild sorghum species around the world, the most recent common ancestor doesn't come from Africa.
The list of such errors goes on an on, and they are all caused simply because someone (you?) wrote an article on commercial sorghum yet titled it "Sorghum". The simplest way to correct this error is simply to split the article. The article titled "sorghum" should refer to the genus Sorghum and make accurate staements about the genus Sorghum as a whole. I have created a secondary article about commercial sorghum to which I have copied the vast majority of the old text. All that text is perfectly accurate as pertians to commercial sorghum but the statments are simply erroneous when aplied to Sorghum as a genus.
Hopefully that explains what I have done and why. If you wish to go through and re-word the entire article so that the comments made are correct as pertains to the genus Sorghum then I can't stop you from doing so, but I encourage you not to. This would involved changing almost every sentence since they are almost all inaccurate when referring to the genus and not the crop. This would destroy an extremely good article on commercial sorghum and in the process create a bastardised article on the genus Sorghum that contains almost no information on the vats majority of sorghum species with masses of information on a tiny minority of commercial species.

[edit] Contra
I would love to discuss things with the talk page on Contra series. Sadly, no one looks at it or considers it. Next up, even if I do edit the article, some assholes will come in and revert it, claiming that all I wrote is false. I showed those people that I have proof of my information, yet they still use doubts on it. If you want assurance that I won't continue vandalism, then assure me that I can add some good information without jerks that delete the stuff.
[edit] Hi
Just left my opinion on Spanish people. Thanks for your input.--Burgas00 16:59, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Spanish people
User Burgass just imposes his POV and his personal version, deleting a lot of information and acting as if he owns the article. I will not revert him any more, he will just keep imposing his personal version. He is destroying a lot of information and sources and ignoring the rest of the users who do not support him.
He also seems to have some kind of personal obsession with some types of information. He goes around Wikipedia deleting the same type of information all the time with different excuses, but interestingly always targeting the same time of information. You can also see his latest deletions in the article Hispanic. I think this issue is for an administrator, not for users like me. Cheers. 72.144.76.202 22:25, 7 April 2007 (UTC) 72.144.76.202 21:19, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Thomas Jefferson High School Vandals
Thanx for blocking out the sock puppet vandals of Thomas Jefferson High School, Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania. Looking through the history, I think there's a couple more. Could you take a look at Fartinmouth (talk · contribs), Paperhat5789 (talk · contribs), and Sarahsouth (talk · contribs) to consider blocking them? I've gone ahead and requested semi-protection for the page due to all the vandalism lately. Thanx again for your help. – Paschmitts 02:50, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Silver Jesus
What are the qualifications for a "notable group"? This group has published songs, play shows and they are in a genre in which there are not many groups = more demand for new artists. Any group within this genre should be considered notable as they are helping to build a style of music that is becoming increasingly popular. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Silverjesusband (talk • contribs) 06:46, 9 April 2007 (UTC).
[edit] VisionProject
Hi, I added an article for a web based commercial/free issue tracking system called VisionProject, It is also available on the Comparison of ticket-tracking systems page. For some reason you removed it. I have compared it to other similar pages on Wikipedia and don't see anything that sticks out as an advertisement or such (Perhaps it was the Infobox_Software?). Or perhaps the other articles for similar systems should be removed as well? Please advice.
Thanks!

[edit] Autoblock
Hi there. I am, as you may know, fairly new at the admin game. I have found an editor, User:Vinwe, who seems to have got caught in an autoblock, but as it is your block I am a little reluctant to rermove it without checking with you. It looks to me like collateral damage, but I would rather you checked it out.--Anthony.bradbury 10:31, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Real mature
Yeah it's real mature when you delete an article and go spam the website its about, bragging about how you deleted it. I didn't even know the stupid thing existed, my brother had apparently made the article on my account, and really don't care that its deleted, but you decided to come post in multiple places that my "arrogant self-endorsing article" had been deleted and that my site sucked. I dont appreciate people spamming my site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.28.112.60 (talk • contribs) 13:00, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
- You see, this is why I ask (in that medium-sized red box near the top of the page) that everyone link to articles when they post a comment. I really have no idea which article you're talking about. I also don't think I've made any comments recently about "arrogant self-endorsing" articles. So, I'm sorry, I guess? --PeruvianLlama(spit) 17:02, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Well it might not of been you, but somebody must of been involved in getting it deleted and felt like making fun of me about it. The article was TZ Corporation and got deleted for being previously deleted, but that previous deletion was over a year ago and back then the article was complete junk and really did deserve to be deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.28.112.51 (talk • contribs) 15:22, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- I was indeed responsible for the deletion of the article you mention, however I did not make any remarks directed at you. My only comment was in the deletion log, to say that it was being deleted as recreated content. You are correct that it was originally removed in 2006, and although parts of the article were different in the most recent version, all of the important qualities that it lacked the first time around (such as a legitimate claim of notability and verifiable external references) were also missing the in 2007 version. I'm sorry if you were upset my the article's deletion, but there was certainly nothing personal motivating my actions. Cheers. --PeruvianLlama(spit) 20:28, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] THIS IS SO DUMB
Why can't i put nonsense on these pages? I mean whats the point of this site anyway. Only idiots gets information here, if you want some credible information go read a book. This site is made to be messed around with, and i don't know how you expect to ever change that. I realize that most people do not mess around like i do, mainly because i make it obvious. But if you really pay attention to the general edits you will find that what you probably consider true information is in fact a huge lie. For example on ws biography, the info that states that one of his twin brothers died in a scuba diving accident is entirely false. But of course nobody realized that. This site is only fun because of people like me. I do not see how i hurt it in any way, considering the edits that i place on the pages are clearly false it is not like somebody will get the wrong information and think it is true. In case they do, then they deserve to be tricked as clearly they are complete morons. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kenzo400 (talk • contribs) 07:36, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
- What we have here is a self-fulfilling prophecy: Wikipedia is flawed, because people go around inserting false information and generally making a mess of things. As proof of this, you yourself go around inserting false information. QED. --PeruvianLlama(spit) 14:54, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
DID YOU GET ANYTHING I SAID Wikipedia is flawed because people insert information that isn't easy to spot. As i said before i insert information that only a total moron would think is true. Anybody with half a brain would not believe what i put in. Therefore i am not tricking anybody. If anything people should not be encouraged to go on this site, because no matter what people will mess around with it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kenzo400 (talk • contribs) 23:27, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
- You might not be "tricking" anybody, but you are still disrupting the usefulness of the encyclopaedia, albeit with "obvious" vandalism instead of sneaky vandalism. This still sounds like a circular argument then, because you say people should be encouraged to not use Wikipedia since too many people act disruptively, yet you yourself are still making disruptive edits. --PeruvianLlama(spit) 14:06, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Dining out in Paraty
You removed what you called "a list of (inherently POV) 'good places to eat'". What it actually was was a comprehensive alphabetical list of the restaurants in Paraty. The section was written in a totally neutral point of view. I wasn't recommending one restaurant over another. I'd say that's pretty neutral. I didn't say that the restaurants were particularly 'good places to eat' as you referred to them. They were simply "the places available to eat" in Paraty. I lived in Paraty. I ate at many of the restaurants there. Not all of them, but many. At no point did I deviate from the neutral point of view that Wikipedia itself recommends. I'd love to hear your rationale for deleting what I wrote. Willcanova 00:00, 16 April 2007 (UTC)User:Willcanova
[edit] Abu Ayyub al-Masri and Abu Hamza al-Muhajir
Hi from Vancouver.
Those two gentlemen are the same, of course. Not even al-Qaeda denies it. But I had a problem with a user called Lft6771 who rolled back (to July 2006) a lot of careful work I had done in order to restore his pet claim that the leader of AQ-Iraq was misidentified. See the discussion page at Abu Ayyub al-Masri. Notice his false accusations of "original research" and "vandalism" and "poorly sourced".

- SOURCING DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING
- If youre trying to prove a point, you can simply just source somebody that agrees with it. So he has the right to revert the page if he wants to. It doesn't mean you or him are right, just because you have been able to find an article that agrees with your point. Unless you are stating something obvious, or agreed on majority then its misleading. Plus last i checked Wikipedia is not supposed to be used for stating questionable opinions. Just stick to the facts moron.
- USER KENZO, too lazy to check IP. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kenzo400 (talk • contribs) 08:49, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

- Thankfully, you don't need to check your IP. Simply type four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your message, and Wikipedia will automatically convert this into a time-stamped signature, similar to mine: --PeruvianLlama(spit) 12:54, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Additionally, there's no need for name-calling. No-one is a moron here. If you have something constructive to say, say it without resorting to personal attacks and vilification. --PeruvianLlama(spit) 12:54, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] More Vandals to be Blocked
Some more sock puppets for the TJ High vandal(s): Blahasdfjkl; (talk · contribs), Dicklicks (talk · contribs), Neatokid56 (talk · contribs) and Paperhat5789 (talk · contribs). Tjfootballownz (talk · contribs) got a one week block, but is certainly another sock puppet. Thanx for looking at these and taking action. – Paschmitts 15:58, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- One was already indef-blocked for choice of user name. The other three I have blocked as sockpuppets, or at least vandalism-only accounts. I left a note on the talk page of the admin who issued the one-week block, asking them to look into the matter again. It's their decision whether to extend the block or leave it as is. Thanks again for the notifications. --PeruvianLlama(spit) 17:56, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] What What (In the Butt)
We tried really hard to fix up the article, add more info, add more links, and make it less spammish. Recently some kid who calls himself Spectre (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Sceptre) removed all the information on the whole page because he thinks it is doesn't show a neutral point of view and is not noteworthy. We already showed that it was noteworthy when it was up for deletion, and the article seems neutral enough to me. How can we stop this guy from vandalizing our article? I have little experience and he's been an administrator, so I feel powerless. If you can help in any way it would be very much appreciated. Thanks. Shatner1 20:00, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

P-Llama, Just a quick note requesting that you allow my name to remain on Wiki - It is essential to clarify my professional credentials, education, and body of artistic work. This is not a promotional tool, it is an essential tool for anyone doing scholarly research through UCLA, the AADA, the University of Arizona, and other interested film/screenwriting programs. With so many Brian Millers in the world, i would greatly appreciate your help in allowing me to clearly and professionally list my bio and correct personal information. Please advise on why you marked Limo Broker UK for deletion as advertising when pages such as the Bus Operating Companies and Stagecoach Group are not about companies or initiatives which are anywhere near as innovative or unique as those of Limo Broker.
The Limo Broker UK page informs on the skills and successes of an entrepreneur in the brokerage industry, who has created from scratch a new hire system and a new adverting base for local businesses, where no other similar system has or does exist, and I'd appreciate if the deletion notice could be removed.

- Comment - Thanks PeruvianLlama I do appreciate the offer. Right now I am half-hoping it stays :-), I am only fighting the fight because the topic has really peaked my interest, and if it does stay, it will be available for other editors, with more brians than me, to improve upon. On the other hand, if it is deleted, I was looking to take the piece in a more derivative manner and start introducing the economical and social aspects of what banishment meant, in both the Biblical and social/economic sense of that time, and how it has influenced both modern religious and political viewpoints. After that wordy explanation, the short and sweet answer to your offer is thank you very much :-). Shoessss | Chat 03:27, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

- Not defensive at all. Just typed in some factual statements in the edit summary box. Which, of course, limits me to only XXX number of words to explain myself. Did you read the edit history? This Abigail Taylor death was deleted twice before -- both deleters (different people) said that she was "not notable" -- and both times that I reverted the deletions, I added some explanation that it was indeed notable. Why do you ask? Please reply at my Talk Page. Thanks. (Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 19:43, 23 March 2008 (UTC))

- (Uninvolved third party who just noticed the edit and discussion here, pardon my barging in:) If the only thing article-worthy about a person is the way in which they died, then there's certainly a case to be made for them being non-notable. However I think you've found an exception here in Abigail Taylor, in that her death has sparked renewed interest in passing significant safety laws/regulations. That coupled with the fact that there's a nice source to go along with it, and I'd say it's worth a short article, at least. --PeruvianLlama(spit) 21:44, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks. You're not barging in ... so no apology needed. I agree. Her death was odd and received news print / air time. But, ultimately, what happened to her also galvanized federal legislation -- and national awareness -- of the underlying problems (pool safety). I will write a short article, as my time allows. Quite frankly, it's on my back-back-back burner. But, I will definitely get to it. Thanks for adding your input. Much appreciated. Thanks. (Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 00:24, 24 March 2008 (UTC))
