[edit] Monroe
Hi Perspective,
Nice username, and interesting quote on your user page. It's a somewhat surprising quote, considering that (as far as I know) there is no explicit constitutional right to privacy. Do you think it's right for the Supreme Court to make such an interpretation of the Constitution? Personally, I think it was wrong of the Supreme Court to do so, and that they should have waited for Congress to pass a Privacy Amendment, thereby eliminating much controversy and uncertainty. Either way, Brandeis was certainly an admirable person. BTW, if you don't mind me asking, are you Jewish? I am.
- Thanks. Brandeis' opinion was a dissent, see Olmstead v. United States. -- Perspective 15:59, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
Anyway, I'm contacting you about Monroe. Are you planning on creating an article for Monroe calculator? If not, I would avoid redlinks on disambig pages, and external links even more. Right now, the amount of information on the disambig page is enough to make a stub; even better would be a full article. Thanks, TheJabberwock 03:47, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
- I was hoping someone else would create the article... John Vincent Atanasoff has the redlink already, so I just added to the Monroe page. If you'd like to create it, I'll add to it. I bet your grandparents, or perhaps even your parents, will remember a Monroe calculator. -- Perspective 15:59, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

- OK, I made an article for Monroe Calculator Company, since I didn't really have any info about the product. If you know more about the calculators themselves, you can either add a
==Products==
section to the existing article, or feel free to make Monroe calculator into a real article. TheJabberwock 01:44, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blocking
I was away until just now and blocks should really be done right at the time it happens. Sorry. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 00:05, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Mind Control
Following the reference given in the revert, this seems to be accurate.... Thanks, BCorr|Брайен 13:39, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] ACLU
Hey there -- if you're up to the task, I praise the start you've made on regularizing the references. I've done my best (as have others) to make sure everything is referenced, but we could definitely use the help in improving the article and filling it out to featured status. [edit] Origins of Brandeis
OK, I've done about as much on this topic now as I intend to do, so if you want to take another look at it I'd appreciate your comments. Dpbsmith (talk) 10:41, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:0305 Docs Vacchiano.jpg
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:0305 Docs Vacchiano.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECU≈talk 20:37, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:ArmandoGhitalla.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:ArmandoGhitalla.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:46, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
