[edit] Dispute resolution
As part of dispute resolution, I am formally requesting that you strike the false information you have posted at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Wrong Planet on autism articles again. If you strike, I will consider the issue closed; if not, further steps in dispute resolution will need to be pursued. You should be aware that you can't just make false statements about someone on Wiki to attempt to discredit them. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:45, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, that would be a good start. Guy (Help!) 22:14, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- Alex, while you have not yet responded to my post from yesterday, or stricken the untruthful statements from ANI (and I use that term politely), you have now added a second misstatement (again, I use that term politely) to the ANI.[1] You have continued a campaign of harassment and mistruths about me and have not engaged in discussion about these untruths. You can dig yourself out of this mess by simply discussing it here on your talk page, as appropriate; I suggest you do that. I specifically did not call for Wrong Planet to be deleted when it came up at
AN/IAfD; your statement is again, flatly untrue. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:19, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Because you responded at AN/I, I responded there. I don't like splitting discussions three ways; I am following your talk page and AN/I. Please feel free to continue dialogue here, once you strike the untruths at An/I. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:57, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
I am formally asking you, for the last time, to strike the untrue statements from AN/I. I am not a banned WrongPlanet member, and I have not attempted to have the Wrong Planet article AfD'd. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:17, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- Sandy, please don't make things up. I didn't say you posted the article to the AfD page or even contributed to the afd discussion. I specifically said "She was adamant in trying to get the article deleted and other wikipedia editors were opposed to doing so for obvious reasons." I said this because you have, in fact, made comments doubting the encyclopedia nature of the Wrong Planet article even though it meets all the requirements according to Wikipedia:Notability. I have been making multiple attempts to work things out with you but you do not even acknowledge how antagonistic you're being towards people on wikipedia. I've searched your name on Google and found other people who described you as a bully. By refusing to show any respect towards me as an editor, I am beginning to come to the same conclusion. I am still offering to strike any comments you don't like if you do the same. Despite the fact that moderators on wrong planet strongly believe you to be the same person we banned, I'm even willing to strike that comment. But you have to also at least acknowledge your role in this conflict. Perl (talk) 20:03, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- Coincidentally, these descriptions of me as a bully originate with your message board and with Zeraeph/mechanima. You've brought off-Wiki unfounded beliefs to Wiki; I strongly encourage you to show some good faith by striking the comments as soon as possible. I can assure you that showing some good faith towards correcting the untruths about me that have been furthered on your board, and now on Wiki as well, is the most expedient thing you can do at this stage. Whatever your moderators mistakenly believed is not my concern; here on wiki, your beliefs are irrelevant, until you use them to harass another editor, and then they do become relevant. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 20:17, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- Sandy, I feel you are harassing me. If you want to take me up on my offer of retraction, that's fine. But I cannot involve myself in this anymore until something is done. Perl (talk) 20:20, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- Perl, Sandy asked me to informally arbitrate this, as I am an outside observer familiar with both parties. I am completely neutral in the fighting going on here. I suggest that both of you just apologize and strike all text that both parties can agree is offensive. It is best we put this behind us and move onto improving Wikipedia, not fighting over an article. We are all Wikipedians here. We should all try to be civil, and it appears to me that in this case both parties have violated the recommendations for civility on Wikipedia. It is best we just move on. --Sharkface217 02:24, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:WiredCovers.png
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:WiredCovers.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ricky81682 (talk) 00:31, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well, the image is properly tagged in my view as a non-free magazine cover. The problem is that it still needs a detailed fair use rationale. See the template {{Non-free use rationale}} for what is needed (and see Image:Sodfebruary1977.jpg for a good example). If you are still having problems, just ask. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 05:04, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Resolving the Wrong Planet dispute at AN/I
Dear Alex—I have been observing the page at AN/I, and am most disturbed by what are clearly false allegations levelled at SandyGeorgia. I must ask you to strike these allegations—you know which ones they are—and explicitly retract them.
I think this would be a productive measure that would allow the issue to move on. May I suggest that we'd all be beneficiaries, including you, the Wrong Planet site, and the Wrong Planet article.
Please take this request seriously. Tony (talk) 01:26, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] California photo requests now by County
I saw your name at Wikipedia:Wikipedians/Photographers. I just spent the past few days moving all the California photo requests into County categories to make it easier for photographers to locate requests in the locations where they take photos. Please consider monitoring and adding your name to the list at Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Los Angeles County, California. GregManninLB (talk) 21:18, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Please use edit summaries to say what you've done
Edit summaries can be informative and save a lot of time when reviewing an article's history - they can can also mislead, or be simply useless. This ("fix refs") is an example of an under-communicative summary. Please take care, especially when removing references from an article, to be clear about what you are doing and why. Speaking as an editor, it helps make wikipedia better for all of us. Thanks... Sheffield Steeltalkstalk 23:44, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Abbas.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Abbas.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 13:33, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
