Talk:Person from Porlock

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The quote is "person on business from Porlock", so shouldn't it be "Man from Porlock" that redirects to "Person from Porlock" rather than the other way around?

[edit] *Person* from Porlock

This entry should appear as "Person from Porlock," which is a frequently quoted phrase; "Man from Porlock" is just weird.

I've added the "Inspector Morse" entry to references in popular culture. As I am not a native speaker, could somebody please check this entry for grammar?

Thanks in advance, Timo

[edit] Merge

I disagree this should be merged with Porlock. There's enough there to justify its own article; if it has to be merged it should be with Kubla Khan.--Cúchullain t/c 00:56, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

I disagree with merging either way, and in fact the Person from Porlock section should be largely removed from Porlock and inserted/merged here.--Jonrock 07:06, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

I can go with that. After all, the place is notable for other things. —Keenan Pepper 18:00, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
