Talk:Perry's Nut House
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Is there anything anyone can do to establish notability for this place? Based on the sources provided it looks like a typical tourist trap.
It's also important to note that there is a difference between the pre and post-1997 Perry's. Perry's closed in 1997 and auction off its displays. It re-opened under new management in 1998 with new displays. Rklawton 19:29, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- It's as notable as Carhenge, The Mystery Spot, Winchester Mystery House or any of hundreds of other roadside attractions in the United States that have opened and closed and reopened with changes in management and exhibits over the past 50 years. Most if not all of the hundreds of thousands of people who spent their summers Down East in the latter half of the 20th century know this place. Don't forget - Maine is "Vacationland" to those of us who grew up in the Northeast. --AStanhope 22:18, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
