Perunad

Perunad is a small town in Pathanamthitta District, located in Kerala state, India.
Perunad is located on the main trunk road to Sabarimala i.e. Pathanamthitta-Pampa Highway.
It is mainly a Plantation Township.
Perunad is famous for the Sastha Temple. The processions of "Thiruvabharanam" and "Thanka Anki" - The Royal Ornaments of Lord Ayyappa take a halt here.
Both state run KSRTC and private operated buses connect Perunad to Pathanamthitta City.
