The Perthshire Advertiser is a tabloid newspaper published by Trinity Mirror Scotland (also known as Scottish and Universal Newspapers) in Perth, Scotland. The "PA", as it is commonly known, goes on sale twice a week: a Tuesday edition, and a bigger edition (more pages) on a Friday. The Perthshire Advertiser also produces the free, advertising-funded, Perth Shopper which is distributed to homes in the PA's area. Like all Scottish and Universal newspapers, the PA used to be printed locally but in the mid-1990s the printing of all of their Scottish titles was centralised at a new custom-built plant at Blantyre. Editorial staff, advertising sales, etc. are still based at the PA's offices in Perth.
