Perry Archangelo Bamonte (born 3 September 1960 in London, England) is an Anglo-Italian musician best known for his work with The Cure.[1]

[edit] Life and work
Perry first joined the band in 1990, replacing Roger O'Donnell on keyboards. He later took up the role of playing dual lead guitar alongside singer Robert Smith following the departure of Porl Thompson in 1993. Perry helped to produce the albums Wish, Wild Mood Swings, Bloodflowers, and The Cure. He has been credited for writing the music for the songs "Trust" from Wish, "This Is a Lie" from Wild Mood Swings, and "Anniversary" from The Cure. Perry also appeared on the live albums Paris and Show as well as Trilogy. His younger brother, Daryl Bamonte, has also worked with The Cure as their tour manager and also Depeche Mode in the same manner. (Perry also has a sister named Carla.)
In 2005, he and Daryl were abruptly fired from The Cure along with Roger O'Donnell, and quickly replaced by Porl Thompson. In his first public interview since then, Perry said that he does not know the reason for his departure and he prefers not to dwell on it. He also signaled that he is ready to move on.[1]

- Perry is left-handed, a feature that distinguishes him from Robert Smith, Simon Gallup, and Porl Thompson in a photograph on the record sleeve of Show that shows all four of them brandishing a guitar or bass during a live performance.
