[edit] Fictional character biography
Perrikus belongs to a race known as the Dark Gods. They are, in effect, the evil opposites of the Asgardians. Although little is known about the Dark Gods, Perrikus is a prince and apparently the god of Power Unlimited and Energy Infinite. [1] The Asgardians first came into contact with the Dark Gods many millennia ago, when Odin sends a scout to explore the universe. This scout encounters Narcisson - the city of the Dark Gods - and is drawn in conflict with Tserron, Perrikus' wife. The scout kills Tserron and escapes, not realizing that Perrikus has allowed him to escape so as to determine where the scout originated from. Once Perrikus discovers Asgard, the Dark Gods attack and after a long and bloody war defeat the Asgardians. Just as Odin is about to be killed by Perrikus, an infant Thor saves Odin, who in turn banishes the Dark Gods. [2]
Perrikus and the surviving Dark Gods return over a millennium later, and once again confront Odin and the now-adult Thor. During a spectacular battle with Thor, Perrikus uses a jet-black scythe that splits Thor's hammer Mjolnir in half. Despite this setback, however, Thor regroups, and with the aid of fellow immortal Hercules and the Asgardian Destroyer once again defeats the Dark Gods. [3]
Desak the God Slayer later slaughters all but two of the Dark Gods, being Perrikus and Adva - god of Portals and Knowledge. [4] They escape and later battle Thor at the behest of Zarrko the Tomorrow Man, although Thor defeats them when he severs Perrikus's right arm with the Bloodaxe. Perrikus and Adva retreat and have not been seen since. [5]
