Perpetual Burn is a solo album released in 1988 (see 1988 in music) by Jason Becker on Shrapnel Records. His former Cacophony band-mate, Marty Friedman, performed with him as a guest on two tracks, "Temple Of The Absurd", "Dweller In The Cellar."

In an interview with GftPM magazine, Jason stated that he composed Air after listening to a lot of Mozart. This track demonstrates the classical guitar technique originally learnt from his father, although the recorded performance is on an electric guitar with a clean tone.
