The company was founded on June 1, 1988 by Ross Perot, Texas billionaire and presidential candidate, after his falling-out with General Motors over the direction of EDS. The company is one of the largest companies in the information technology services industry, and currently has offices in 6 countries. 1 in US, 4 in Europe and 3 in India. [2]

Fortune Magazine has ranked Perot Systems as the number two company in the information technology services category on its list of America's Most Admired Companies for the past two years.[1] The ranking is based on surveys of "executives, directors, and security analysts," who are questioned on eight criteria, including investment value, quality of services, innovation, and quality of management.
