Perfect is the third novel in Sara Shepard's series of young adult novels Pretty Little Liars.

The book follows the stories of four ex-best friends who are being haunted by someone named "A", someone who knows all their secrets.
Emily Fields is in a secret lesbian relationship with her new neighbor, Maya, who lives in Alison DiLaurentis's old house. Emily also is on the school swim team, and during a meet A releases thousands of pictures of Emily and Maya kissing. Afterwards Emily's parents force her into a program called "Tree Tops", which will supposedly make her straight. The program fails, and when Emily's parents discover this, they decide to send her to live with her relatives in Iowa.
Spencer Hastings is getting flashbacks of the night of the disappearance of the four girls' best friend, Alison, and Spencer realizes that she might have had something to do with Ali's death, after she sees herself push Ali into a stone wall after a heated aregument where Alison was taunting Spencer about all of the things she can't have and all of the things she is jealous of.
Aria Montgomary is trying to hide her father's secret, of him cheating on her mother, from her mother and brother, but then after Aria ignores A's threats, A anonymously inform's Aria's mother about this secret afiar, so Aria's mother kicks Aria out of the house, so Aria has to move into her boyfriend's house. Aria is also cheating on her boyfriend with her AP English teacher, so after A sends the Aria's boyfriend a picture of her and her English teacher kissing, he calls the police and they get busted.
Hanna Marin is dealing with falling off her queen bee throne and back into dorkdom, making herself throw up, and friendship problems with Mona Vanderwaal. She is humiliated at Mona's 17th birthday party, and receives a text from A later on. Instead of the number being a jumbled mess, it is a number Hanna recognizes. She knows who A is. She calls Spencer, Emily, and Aria to meet her at the playground. Hanna is hit by an SUV at the playground, when she was about to tell them who A is. Spencer is seen hiding in the woods, watching, a few minutes later. At the end of the book, Hanna's fate remains unknown.
