Peoples Church

Peoples Church of Fresno, California, USA, is one of the largest Christian churches in Fresno County. The senior pastor, G.L. Johnson, has led the church since 1963. The church campus is home to one part of Fresno Christian Schools, attended by students in grades K-12.
On Sunday, June 3, 2007, Pastor Johnson announced during the three morning services his intention to tender his resignation in the Spring of 2008. He said the timeliness of his decision is based upon his 80th birthday and his 45th anniversary as leader of the Peoples Church congregation (which will both take place in early Spring 2008). Pastor Johnson retired in late February 2008, and the pastoral search committee is currently looking for a new Senior Pastor. During the transition phase Pastor Doug Holck is the Interim Senior Pastor and Rev. Ron McManus will be preaching on Sundays.
