The Southern Cross — the aircraft in which Sir Charles Kingsford Smith made the first flight across the Pacific —from San Francisco, USA to Brisbane, Queensland in 1928

• Sir Charles Kingsford Smith, pioneer aviator, who, with his crew, made the first flight across the Pacific in his aircraft, the "Southern Cross", from San Francisco, California, USA to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia in 1928. The aircraft is currently preserved and on display, in a special glass 'memorial hangar', near the International terminal at Brisbane Airport

• Emma Miller, pioneer labour activist and suffragist

• Sir William Webb, High Court of Australia Judge and President of the Military Tribunal in the Far East (which tried Japanese war criminals)
