People for Plaquemines

People for Plaquemines (P4P) is an organization that brings together residents, volunteers, and resources to rebuild the lives of people and to create community by restoring the homes of displaced residents in lower Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. P4P was formed to carry on the mission of Emergency Communities' Y-Cafe in Buras when EC redeployed its resources to the Ninth Ward of New Orleans.
People for Plaquemines is based in Buras, where Hurricane Katrina made landfall in August, 2005.
