People Management

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

People Management is the UK's biggest human resources publication with a fortnightly circulation of 124,964 (Audit Bureau of Circulation, average net: July 2005-June 2006) [1]. It is the official magazine of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), and is published by Personnel Publications Limited.

In 1996, People Management became the first magazine in the UK – and as far as we are aware, the world - to refuse to accept “ageist” recruitment advertisements. This was the start of a campaign against age discrimination which saw PM draw up a charter which was eventually signed by 65 recruitment communications and marketing businesses. Go to PM recruitment pages People Management has continued to campaign against age discrimination ever since, working with organisations such as the Employers Forum on Age, the Third Age Employment Network and Help the Aged.

Its website includes searchable databases of HR products and services as well as an HR jobs search.
