[edit] Club Penguin

Hello, and welcome again to Wikipedia. Just wanted to let you know that I had to remove your contribution to the Club Penguin article. First of all, the information was just a rumor, and did not cite a reliable source; please read WP:VERIFY. Second, you signed the comments within the article; see WP:SIG#When signatures should be used. Signatures may only be used on "Talk" pages. Finally, it is inappropriate to insist that other editors obtain permission from you before editing the article; see WP:OWN and the "Please note" at the bottom of every edit page, which states "If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly or redistributed by others, do not submit it."

I know that Wikipedia has many rules, and it can be confusing for someone new. But please don't get discouraged. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask me or any other experienced editor. The Club Penguin's talk page is also a great place to discuss changes to the article. Again, welcome and enjoy the site! -- Satori Son 02:35, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

No need to apologize. All of us, myself included, made plenty of mistakes when we first waded in the Wikibyss. I do hope you stick around and enjoy writing articles. And yes, you do sign your name on talk pages, just not in articles. Have a good one. -- Satori Son 20:56, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Reply

Replying to your question on how I act so mature, thank you for such a nice compliment. I really appreciate it :) Responding to people like that is a trait that took me a while to develop. I used to flame people like that, but then I realized: what's the point of flaming them? It'll only cause more flaming, and make me look pretty stupid in the end. Hope that helps you! SuperDT 00:20, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Were you referring to my talk page?

Regarding your comment, were you referring to Rucario saying "SKREW YOU" to me? I warned them when they alleged that Miley Cyrus was a lesbian without citing. As a result, the user attacked me with a rather comical lecture. Apparently, Rucario's brother was the perpetrator, as they said, but there is no way of making sure. bibliomaniac15 06:36, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Why did you comment on the "skrew you" on my talk page? bibliomaniac15 00:40, 12 December 2006 (UTC) PS: Be sure to sign your name with four tildes (~~~~).

I was trying to say not to say Screw You on that guy who did write Skrew you on your page. Not you.

[edit] Reply to your question

Have you signed on? It says that you haven't. For reverting stuff, you may want to look at WP:REVERT. Here's how I would explain it to you:

  1. Click on the history tab at the top.
  2. Click on a diff that has a non-vandalized version.
  3. Click on the (edit) next to the revision you want to revert to.
  4. Now it will have a notice saying that you are editing a prior version. Go down to the edit summary and type "revert" or "rv" with an explanation of why you reverted; for example, "reverted vandalism."
  5. Click "Save changes," and it should come out right if you did it right.

As for your question about how you can be well-known, I believe that is taking a wrong approach. To take one of Stalin's sayings, think not of how Wikipedia can benefit you, but how you can benefit Wikipedia. I would recommend starting vandal fighting, research, or joining a Wikiproject. Look at policy and participate in XfD's (AfD, MfD, Cfd). There are boundless things to do in Wikipedia. All over Wikipedia, there are giant backlogs that require volunteers to help. I don't mean to bring up old self-esteem clichés, but you can really make a difference. bibliomaniac15 01:08, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Remember

Also, remember to sign your name in talk pages with four tildes, like this: ~~~~. bibliomaniac15 02:36, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

WP:GA refers to a Good Article. These articles are good and encyclopedic, but still need buffing up until they reach the main page as a featured article. bibliomaniac15 02:28, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] An Automated Message from HagermanBot

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! HagermanBot 04:12, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

You can create multiple accounts, but this is usually discouraged as sock-puppetry or single-purpose accounts. However, you are free to offer your siblings accounts, just make sure that they don't vandalize, and that they don't reveal their age or other personal information. bibliomaniac15 02:49, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Retirement, while not specifically stated in Wikipedian doctrine (as far as I know), is when a Wikipedian leaves permanently. These Wikipedians are often well-accomplished. Generally, something happens in their lives that either restricts or even cuts off their connections to Wikipedia, or puts them in a mood to not edit Wikipedia (death of a relative/friend, bad experiences in Wikipedia, harrassment). Sometimes, though, these Wikipedians decide to return after they get over their grief. If you know someone who goes through retirement, it's best to email them to give some final wishes, unless they said not to contact them. bibliomaniac15 00:54, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hi Pendo

Hey Pendo, I've made some slight contributions your article, Combat Flight Simulator 4. If you are still interested in making the article better, and being able to take down the cleanup take, then please let me know. I've done some minor work, but if you were able to find some references about your information, then we might be able to remove the tag. If you are still interested, then please tell me. If you like, I will also help you with your other articles. For a new person here, you are doing a great job, and your edits are greatly appreciated. Thanks, (oh, and please contact me via my talk page if you choose to reply) —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 11:19, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

Hey no worries. Was there anything else specifically you wanted help with? —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 01:55, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
OK. I assume you are refering to Rafael nadal? Or am I completely worng? I foyu are refering to rafael Nadal,m the actual tennis player, then you probably use his whole name, not rafa as a nickname. If you are talking about something, and it is actually called Rafa nadal tennis, then great. If you tell me what it is, I should be able to help you. Also, its great to see someone as young as me actively contributing. Good job. What year were you born? —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 02:01, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I'll see what I can do. (PS. I was born in April, so you are about four months older than me) —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 02:10, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Fixed it more. Listen, the link claims that the game was released on December 27, last year...so are you sure about how it is unreleased? Also, someone has put a very inappropriate tag on the article noming it for speedy deletion because of lack of refs, which it does anyway - the game is mentioned on that site in the links section. I'll see what I can do about that. (Ive taken it off for now, but if he puts it back on, I'll message him). —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 02:29, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Hey, dont worry about it. It's not problem for me. I'm just glad to be able to help out :) —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 02:32, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I do move pretty quickly. Mainly because somebody is doing some pretty strange things - noming it for speeding deletion. Really, its nonsense. Youre article is better than Rafael nadal Tennis, and Rafa nadal Tennis is the correct naem for the game. So thats why Rafaeal nadal Tennis is being merged with your article. —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 02:51, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Dont worry about any of that now - I've merged Rafael Nadal Tennis to Rafa nadal Tennis, they are now the same article, but now your article has a bit more content from the other one - the other article said it was also coming out on wii, and is being developed by the VirtualToys company. So now your article has more content, and everythings fine. —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 03:05, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
I just read your message to User:iceflow. You do not think it comes out on wii. I will remove it then. Also, you may want to be more careful about insulting this guys orient. While we all have our personal views on things like this (and I agree that yes, fine, it is a bit strange) we must not use personal attacks. if he gets offended, it may lead to you being blocked. I'm not tryna sound like the boss of you, but its probably for your own good if you sorta keep it to yourself a bit. —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 03:10, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Ok, that should be no problem, we shall just revert. I'm not sure what to do about your article vs. the other one though. Let me think on it, and I'll get back to you soon. I'll just go and revert it now ok? —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 03:12, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
This means that it is for the wii - no worries there. We shall just leave that information. Oh, and I thought about it (lol I thought about it pretty fast) We shall just keep with your article, but also mention it can also be called Rafael nadal Tennis. problem solved. —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 03:13, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
I see you have removed the yuck section. Good job; lesson learnt, and hopefully he hasnt taken too much offence about it. Anyway, I have done what I said I would above, and now things should be fine. Was there anything else? —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 03:17, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Haha really its no trouble. I just hope that I've fixed everything up properly. —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 03:18, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Pendo, I thank you deeply for your award. I am honoured to recieve it from you. I only hope that perhaps I've been of some assisstance. Thank you once again, —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 03:22, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Oh, and just incase you are wondering, I'm leaving the other article - Rafael Nadal Tennis - as a redirect; your article is larger, and Rafael Nadal Tennis is mentioned as another name for it in your article. So no worries. —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 03:31, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Rafa Nadal Tennis

Pendo 4, Thank you for your messages on my talk page. Let me explain why the article was tagged as I did:

1: When I clicked on the Codemasters link at the bottom of the page, the codemasters website returned "No entries found for Rafa Nadal Tennis - DS" - this initially lead me to believe the article was a hoax.

2: One of my co-editors then found the article "Rafael Nadal Tennis" - both of these articles, yours, and the other editors, refer to the same game. That is why I tagged it as a duplicate.

One thing I would say to you, do not tell me to stop doing my job. I have work to get on with here, and if I find something that looks wrong, it gets tagged. If I find out its tagged wrong, it gets removed. If you read the tag on the page, it says "...MAY qualify for speedy deletion". That doesn't mean to say it will be deleted, just that it looks from my point of view that it might.

I will review the article and the otherone, and then transfer the tag to the appropriate one requiring it.

Thor Malmjursson 13:08, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

Well, as far as I can see, he doesnt understand the criteria for speedy deletion. I'll try and tell him again. However, it appears that, thankfully, he hasnt done anything yetr. I'll send him a message, and try and make him understand speedy is specifically for pages that are: patent nonsense, purely vandalism, 100% plagerised etc. Dont worry about it Pendo, I got your back. —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 22:05, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Hey, lol, the other one is just a redirect! its pretty obvious which one is better! —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 22:14, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
What happened? Nothin gs wrong that I can see. Whats the matter? —ÅñôñÿMôús Dîššíd3nt 01:09, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
Yo, Pendo 4, calm down. It's plenty notable enough. I trust that Anonymous Dissident will help keep this article from deletion, because he's a really capable article writer, as his long list of DYKs supports. bibliomaniac15 01:40, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
