At the moment, it's not a great article. but Pentagram is a very well-known firm. Keep --Clubmarx 16:43, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
Keep: It may not be a household name among the general public, but almost anyone who is familiar with identity design will be familiar with Pentagram. There's no question in my mind that it is notable. A Google search for "pentagram design" returns 47,000 results. Greyfedora 23:29, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not a graphic design college major but I have heard of this company. In fact, the one of the company's head designer has an article in Wikipedia and regular contributor to the New York Times regarding design issues. It is easily satisfied the notablitiy criteria of "the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent of the company itself." Publication: Business Week: [1] [2] The New York Times: [3] The article needs to be expanded but the company is definitely notable. --Oskar Mayer Nguyener 19:25, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

- This company is not the subject of any of those Business Week or NYT articles though... Mentioning the name a company in passing is not being the subject of an article. The company could well pass Wikipedia's notability criteria but the article needs to document it using reliable sources. Weregerbil 08:53, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

- Okay, I've fired up LexisNexis -- but I only have access to the last two years. Here are some of the highlights: Pentagram was named design firm of the year in 2004 by Ad Age's Creativity; the lede of the story was "In the design world, and frequently well beyond the design world, Pentagram, needless to say, is a known quantity." When Alan Fletcher (founder of Pentagram) died on September 23, The Independent published a 1,300 obit and the New York Times published a 1,000 word obit. There are also numerous references in trade publications (dozens in the past two years). Greyfedora 18:40, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
