[edit] Year formed

I know the article says the route was formed in 1928, but I believe that it was rebuilt in the 40s. There are sections of road along it that are called "Old 940", most notably near White Haven south of I-80. I have also seen historical maps and they show the road as going a different path in maps from 1930 and earlier. I know there is also an old paved road that I have been on between White Haven and Freeland that my relatives say was "Old 940". My grandfather also helped build or rather rebuild 940 in the 40s. Much of the new route went right over the old one, but there are still sections of unused paved road that I know as Old 940. Does anyone have any info on any of this? Also, at these coordinates, 41° 2'2.33"N 75°51'20.57"W, Cawley Road becomes old 940 which then rejoins with 940 to the west. Also here, 41° 2'58.25"N 75°46'40.93"W, a road still in use is named Old SR 940, at least on Google Earth. Timmeh! 23:36, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
