Pentland Group plc is a privately held, global brand management company based in the UK, involved in the sports, outdoor and fashion markets. The group owns the following brands: Speedo, Ellesse, Berghaus, Boxfresh, Mitre, Red or Dead, KangaROOS, One True Saxon, Brasher and Clerk & Teller.[1][2] The group is the worldwide licensee for Lacoste and Ted Baker footwear. Pentland also has a license from Kickers international BV to sell Kickers products.
Pentland Group is the majority owner of John David Sports plc, ("JD Sports") which has 400 retail outlets in the UK. Pentland also has a venture capital division.
They are headquartered at The Pentland Centre, Lakeside, Squires Lane, London N3 2QL. The headquarters consist of an existing office building plus a new building to the side, the two buildings being connected by a corridor that goes over a small lake. The reception area in the building is unusual in that it contains a number of highly artistic modern furniture pieces. These can be seen from the photographs on the Pentland website.
