Pentamino

Pentamino comes from Greek pent (five) and amino (acid), a two aminoacids based polymer resins group.

The word pentamino has several meanings.

  • Pentamino is a polyomino composed of five (Greek πέντε / pente) congruent squares, connected orthogonally. Prefix penta- is used same as in Tetragon, Pentagon, Hexagon, Octagon, Tetraedar, Hexaedar, Octaedar, Dodecaedar, Tetramino, Hexamino etc.
